What I learned from my 10 year old

Perseverance.

Dancing Girl is the new student council Vice President at her school. YAY, she won her election! This was her third time running for an office and her first win. When she lost the first time, she cried and cried. She wanted to try again. She lost a 2nd time. She cried a little bit and then called the winner and offered her congratulations (unprompted from me).

This time she won.

She didn't give up. She wanted to do it each time all on her own. Bad mommy me kind of tried to talk her out of the 3rd attempt. I'm so glad she insisted. She set a goal and achieved it.

Perseverance. Set your goal, stick to your plan and you can achieve it.

What lessons do you learn from your kids?
