The Clean Plate Club

I realized something the other day.  In my obsessive quest to count calories, I was totally ignoring my hunger cues.  I'd plan a meal and calculate my calories (usually before I ate).  Then, I'd sit down and clean my plate.

When I did the same thing with a more intuitive focus, I found myself able to stop eating when I was full.  It didn't matter that I didn't eat the full meal, didn't consume all the calories allotted.  I listened to my hunger cues and stopped eating.

That's what I call progress.  Yay!!

Happy Sunday everyone.  Are my pictures getting better?  This was lunch the other day, more veggies from our CSA and I added some chickpeas.

Did you honor your hunger cues today?  Did you clean your plate only if you were that hungry?
